Bull Shoals - Freshwater Fishing Report

BASS - updated 07-17-13

- Top water is working early in the morning and late in the evening. Spooks and flukes seem to be the best.

- Later on in the day plastics are working in 15 to 35 feet of water. The mustard colored and watermelon colored tube jig (gitzit) seem to be the best.

- Spinner baits on cloudy windy banks for Largemouth bass. Mostly natural colors in clear water and bright colors in dingy water.

- split shot or drop shot a night crawler in 25 to 35 feet of water.

- Split shot a crawfish in 25 to 35 feet of water

- vertical spooning in 25 to 35 feet of water

- red plastic worms in brush piles at night

WHITE BASS - updated 07-17-13

Very few reports of white bass during the day night. The patterns below usually work this time of year. The night bite under lights is starting to work.

- Trolling minnow looking baits early in the morning and late in the day on the gravel banks back in the creeks.

Walleye - updated 07-17-13

- Bottom bouncing with night crawlers in 25 to 35feet is producing some walleye.

- split shoting or drop shoting night crawlers in 25 to 35 feet is producing walleye

- flat trolling with deep diving baits, simulate a bluegill or minnow .

Crappie -

- Small minnows around brush piles

- small 1/16 ,1/32, 1/64 oz jigs around the brush piles.
