Don Schnable

Bull Shoals - Freshwater Fishing Report

Water Level 649.50

Water Temp 80 to 85 degrees

Water is Clear to Stained

Black Bass – Good on Jigs, 10′ plastic worms, deep diving crank baits and top water baits. Early morning and evening bite has been very good on top water baits such as Spooks or Buzz Baits. Heavy football jigs have produced good keeper blacks in the 20 to 30 ft range. Also, Large plastic worms (11 to 12 in) have the big bass hitting great!

Walleye – Fair to Good on Live Minnows, silver spoons and night crawlers. Switch over to a deep diving crank bait if the night crawler dosen't work. Try a Rapala DT 16 in a Blue and Chrome, or a Norman DD 22 for deep Walleye. Troll in about 30 to 35 ft of water off of the sand bars.

Crappie – Good on live minnows. Brush piles in the mouths of coves in about 15 to 20 ft range. Also hitting 1/8th oz silver spoons.
