Kimberling City Area: Tornado clean up in the Kimberling City area continues; thankfully there were few injuries and no loss of life despite the incredible devastation. Anglers are still catching numbers and size on umbrella rigs throughout the mid lake, a transition has begun with more fish starting to appear on gravel and mixed gravel and rock points near spawning areas. Moss has started to become a problem for bottom scraping lures, most anglers have had success with SPRO McSticks and other jerkbaits in pre-spawn locations.

James River: It seems like every angler on the James River is throwing an Umbrella rig. Most are focused on main lake rocky points near deep water, running the rig close to standing timber to draw strikes. The moss build up is not as bad up the river as it is on the main lake, Jewel football jigs with J-Tail trailers have been very productive on pre-spawn fish holding near spawning pockets on the main lake and in the creek arms.

White River: The mid White River has been dominated by umbrella rigs as well; focus on the main lake and larger creek arms working points near spawning areas. Fish are not close to spawning but they are beginning to stage on points. Best baits on the rig have been; Zoom Flukes and swimmin' flukes, Chompers single tail grubs and other swimbaits. Further up river wiggle warts and jerkbaits have been producing on secondary points and rocky banks leading to spawning areas.

Dam Area: The deep bite continues to produce on the lower end; Webb Tail Spoons and Chompers Drop Shot worms have been the best presentations on deep points and around standing timber in the larger creek arms. Umbrella rigs have been productive on the lower end as well; much like the rest of the lake look for steeper rocky points with deep water close by to be successful.
