Branson: Three distinct patterns are putting fish in the boat in Branson. Fishing guides are using wiggle warts, tubes and ice baits and catching bass from a foot deep to over 40' deep. The wiggle wart bite has been on rocky banks and points throughout the lower end look for mixed chunk rock and gravel with deep water close by to be the most productive areas. Pea gravel points and flats have been productive with Tightlines UV and Chompers tubes; work the bait slowly along the bottom on ¼ oz. heads from 10' – 18' deep. Deep fish are being caught on deep drop offs near main lake gravel points and flats, locate fish and shad on your electronics and drop Rapala or Northland ice baits to fish holding tight to the bottom.

Kimberling City: The same patterns are working in the mid lake area as in Branson. Fishing guide trips have been very successful targeting both shallow and deep fish; wiggle warts, tubes and ice jigs are all key patterns throughout the Kimberling City area. Add to those a patterns a good dock bite and you can catch fish from a foot deep to 50' deep throughout the day. The dock bite has been strong on larger condo docks with a Jewel spider or Eakins jig matched with either an Eakins Craw or Paca chunk. Work shady areas of docks from a couple feet deep to 20' to be successful.

James River: The bite on the James River has been inconsistent at best over the past week. Branson fishing guides have had some success on windy and cloudy days targeting shallow fish with square bill crankbaits and Chompers spinnerbaits around wood cover. Concentrate your efforts on gravel pockets with multiple pieces of wood cover and make several casts to each piece of cover draw strikes from fish waiting to ambush baitfish.

White River: All of the patterns working throughout the Kimberling City and Branson area have been effective in the White River. Add to those patterns a strong football jig bite and you can put both numbers and quality fish in the boat. Jewel football jigs in PB&J or brown purple flash with either a J-Tail or Paca chunk trailer will put quality fish n the boat right now. Look for mixed ledge rock and gravel points near small pockets to be the most productive areas, work the jig slowly along the bottom from the bank to 25' deep to target larger fish.
