Branson: Fishing guides continue to find fish holding shallow on mixed rock and gravel banks throughout the lower end of the lake. A combination of stickbaits, crankbaits, jigs and grubs have been putting fish in the boat this past week. On calm days Table Rock bass have been suspending over 15' – 25' of water and can be targeted with SPRO and Megabass stickbaits and Tightlines UV single tail grubs, most of the fish have been holding around 7' – 10' deep. Rig the single tail grub on a ¼ oz. head and count it down around an eight count before reeling in.

Kimberling City: The bite is shallow in the mid lake area just like in Branson. Fishing guides have been having success with stickbaits, crankbaits and jigs on the same mixed rock and gravel banks as on the lower end. On windy days fish will move shallow, less than 10' deep, and can be caught on wiggle warts and Bandit 300 crankbaits. Parallel the bank and try to maintain bottom contact throughout the retrieve pausing the bait when it comes over a rock or other piece of cover. There is a split shot bite starting to develop; a Tightlines UV finesse worm or 3" craw in UV green or green red flake will draw strikes on shallow gravel points.

James River: Umbrella rigged Tightlines UV 4" shad or broken back jerk shad have been putting some very large fish in the boat. Fish have moved to mixed rock and gravel points, suspending around 10' deep over 20' of water. Any wood cover on these points will hold multiple fish and should be fished thoroughly. Windy days will move fish shallow and a wiggle wart or Bandit 300 crankbait will produce when paralleled on these points. Jewel football jigs with a Tightlines UV jig trailer will also produce on these banks; work the jig slowly down the ledges to draw strikes.

White River: Tightlines UV grubs have been very effective from Baxter to Shell Knob; silver and white 4" grubs fished either on a ¼ oz. head or on an umbrella rig will catch suspended fish on mixed gravel and rock banks and in transition areas from rock to gravel. Stickbaits have also been effective in these same areas. Jewel football and spider jigs have been effective, match them with Tightlines UV beavers and jig trailers and work them along the bottom from 5' – 15' deep. There are a few fish starting to show up on gravel points near spawning pockets; target these fish with split shot rigs with Tightlines UV finesse worms and craws.
