Branson: Fishing guides have been targeting Table Rock Lake bass with topwater baits early and late on gravel points and flats; spooks, Sammies and Pop-R's have all been effective when fish are surfacing. Once the sun comes up Jewel Squirrel head jigs with Tightlines UV finesse worms worked on these same banks, target fish from 10 ‘ -18' deep. There is a deep bite beginning to materialize in larger creek arms and on the main lake. Look for fish holding tight to the bottom from 25' – 30' deep, drop UV finesse worms on a drop shot rig to the bottom to draw strikes.
Kimberling City: The topwater bite has been strong throughout the mid lake area as well, Branson Fishing Guides have been catching a mixed bag of white bass, spotted bass and smallmouth schooling on main lake gravel points from Kimberling City to Baxter. After the surfacing action stops switch to Jewel Pro Spider jigs in PB&J and green pumpkin candy with green pumpkin J-Tail trailer. Tightlines UV tubes in UV green and green red flake have also been effective on flat gravel points.
James River: Top water early and late is the ticket in the James River as well. Branson fishing guides have been doing well once the sun comes up on Carolina rigged UV hogs in UV green and UV craw, fish the steeper side of main lake points from 10' – 25' deep. Jewel Pro Model Spider Jigs in orange craw with a Paca chunk trailer worked around boat docks have been producing some nice largemouth of late. Focus your efforts on shady areas close to walkways and floats to be successful.
White River: The White River is hot right now; from a solid topwater bite to a shaky head to tubes to drop shot rigs there a lot of fish being caught from Baxter to Eagle Rock. Just like the rest of the lake, low light times are the best time to throw a spook or Sammy. Once the sun comes up UV tubes, UV finesse worms on a Jewel Squirrel head and Jewel Pro Spider jigs have been producing on gravel points and flats on the main lake and in the larger creek arms. The same areas have a good deep bite as well; move out to 25' – 35' deep and look for spotted bass holding tight to the bottom.
