Branson: Fishing guides continue to see the lower end of the lake improve as the water warms and lake levels rise. The best bite has been on a combination of wiggle warts and stickbaits. Look for fish to be in transition areas where channel swing rock banks lead to points near spawning pockets. Brown and green crawdad patterns have been best on a wart, make casts more or less parallel to the bank maintaining bottom contact throughout the retrieve. Stick baits have been more effective closer to secondary points near spawning pockets, work the bait fairly fast to draw a reaction strike.

Kimberling City: Much like in Branson fishing guides have been doing well in the mid lake with wiggle warts and stickbaits. Add to that a solid jig bite and the fishing has improved tremendously over the past two weeks. Jewel Pro Spider jigs in Okeechobee blue or PB&J have been the best colors match them with either a finesse craw or a J Tail trailer and work rocky transitions near spawning pockets.

James River: The water has warmed significantly over the past week with an influx of run off, higher air temperatures and longer days. All of which has Branson fishing guides targeting fish shallow from Aunts creek to Cape Fair. Most of the fish are coming on wiggle warts, stickbaits and Jewel Pro Spider jigs but a few have been caught on Carolina rigged UV hogs and UV Enkos on points leading into spawning pockets. This bite will improve as the water warms and fish stage up even more.

White River: The White River continues to produce both quantity and quality; much like the rest of the lake wiggle warts, stickbaits and Jewel jigs have been very productive throughout the White River. In addition Branson fishing guides have caught several fish have been caught on split shot rigs over the past week, French fries, UV Finesse worms and UV Craws have all been working on a split shot. Look for points leading into spawning areas and work the rig slowly along the bottom from 3' - 15' deep.

The trout fishing continues to be outstanding on Lake Taneycomo, moderate current and low fishing pressure has been the norm. Here are the top patterns working for Branson fishing guides this past week.

• Egg flies and "glo bugs" cast upstream on a drift rig have been working well on a drift rig with a two pound leader.
• Zig Jig marabou jigs have been great, white or grey up around the trophy area to around fall creek, and sculpin and olive further downstream near Monkey Island and Branson Landing.
• Micro Marabou jigs have been a top producer below a float. Just about any color will work but white and grey have been better closer to the dam and brown and olive better downstream
• Trout magnets continue to produce beneath a float in creek arms from Cooper creek to below the Branson Landing.
• A few better fish have been caught on small stickbaits; Rapala and Yozuri in gold or rainbow patterns have been best. .
• Gulp and Power Bait Eggs cast upstream allowing the current to drift the boat downstream over flats and drop offs with mixed colors of eggs was a dominate pattern
The trout fishing on Lake Taneycomo continues to be excellent, ever changing conditions make it more important than ever to have a guide with the right knowledge to put you on the trout. Call Focused Fishing Guide Service at 417-860-4743 today and book your trip of a lifetime.
