Branson: Fishing guides have noticed fish moving as the spawn has become a memory. Fish have pulled off the bank into deeper water on secondary points throughout Branson. Fishing guides are catching fish on a combination of Jewel Squirrel Head jigs with UV Enkos and finesse worms or Bass Pro Tender tubes in Puke or green pumpkin. Most of the fish have moved from less than 10' deep to 15' – 20' deep on gravel and mixed ledge and gravel points. A few fish are being caught on top early and late, spooks, Sammies and pop-rs have all been effective when fish are chasing shad on top.

Kimberling City: The slightly stained water in Kimberling City has fish holding shallower than in Branson. Fishing guides have moved to around 15' deep with Jewel Squirrel heads and Spider Jig on gravel and mixed gravel points, secondary and main lake points have been the most productive areas. These same locations will produce with Carolina rigged UV Hogs and Lizards from 10' – 20' deep. A deep bite is starting to shape up, there are schools of fish moving into deep water and beginning to settle into a summer pattern but it isn't a viable pattern yet.

James River: The best shallow bite on the lake is in the James River; Branson fishing guides are still catching fish less than 10' deep on a combination of Bass Pro Shops Lazer Eye buzz baits early and late, then transitioning to Zoom Flukes and UV Broke Back Jerks and finally to Jewel jigs when the sun is high in the sky. Black / red buzz baits have been the most popular color, albino and Houdini have been the best colors on flukes and Broke Back Jerks and brown purple flash or Okeechobee blue have been the best jig colors. Concentrate your efforts on shallow wood cover on gravel flats and pockets.

White River: The best topwater bite has been on the White River, Branson fishing guides have been focusing on main lake pockets with isolated standing timber, overall depth hasn't been important, but having a handful of trees in a pocket versus a forest has been. Spooks, Sammies and Red Fins have been the ticket, work around all sides of the trees to find suspending fish. Flukes and Broke Back Jerks have been working in these same areas once the sun comes up over the tree tops. As the sun rises Jewel football jigs have been the ticket on main lake and secondary points, 3/ 8 oz, and ½ oz. brown purple flash and green pumpkin candy both with green pumpkin J Tail trailers have been producing from 12' – 25' deep from Baxter to Big M.

Limited generation and higher boat traffic has made trout fishing a little tougher this past week. Here are the top patterns working for Branson fishing guides this past week.
• Micro Marabou jigs have been a top producer below a float. Just about any color will work but white and grey have been better closer to the dam and brown and olive better downstream
• Gulp and Power Bait Eggs cast upstream allowing the current to drift the boat downstream over flats and drop offs with mixed colors of eggs was a dominate pattern
• Egg flies and "glo bugs" cast upstream on a drift rig have been working well on a drift rig with a two pound leader.
• Zig Jig marabou jigs have been great, sculpin and olive colors around docks and other cover have been effective from Cooper Creek through Branson Landing.
• Trout magnets continue to produce beneath a float in creek arms from Cooper creek to below the Branson Landing.

The trout fishing on Lake Taneycomo continues to be excellent, ever changing conditions make it more important than ever to have a guide with the right knowledge to put you on the trout. Call Focused Fishing Guide Service at 417-860-4743 today and book your trip of a lifetime.
