Branson: Fishing guides have watch fish move into a solid summer pattern over the past week; the deep bite has become the number one pattern. Most of the fish are starting to school on main lake and secondary points in the larger creek arms. Look to long gravel points to be the best locations, those that drop off on one side or the other are better, with fish holding close to the bottom 25' – 45 deep. Drop shot rigs have been the best option when targeting these fish; Tightlines UV worms, Chompers finesse worms and ROBO worms have all been working. Keep several colors handy as the fish will change preferences throughout the day.

Kimberling City: The deep bite has been effective in the mid lake much like Branson. Fishing guides have been targeting fish on the same main lake and secondary points as in the Branson area. In addition Jewel Football jigs are putting some better fish in the boat over this past week. 1/2 oz. and 5/8 oz. Jewel Football jigs in green pumpkin candy and PB& J matched with green pumpkin J Tail trailer has been the ticket. Most of the fish have been 20' – 30' deep holding close to rock or wood cover, brush piles and rock piles sank by Missouri Conservation have been great targets to catch these fish.

James River: Rain over the past week has kept the color great in the James River, add to that almost constant generation at the dam and you have good color and current in your favor up the James. Early in the day a Bass Pro Lazer Eye or Beckler Buzz Bait will put fish in the boat. Look to shallow wood cover in bluff pockets and along steeper banks to be the best locations. As the sun comes up Branson fishing guides move out to main lake and secondary points and switch to a Jewel Football Jig and Carolina rigged UV hogs and Brush Hogs in green pumpkin from 15' – 20' deep.

White River: Most of the patterns working in the mid lake and Branson have been working in the White River as well. Drop shot rigs, Jewel football jigs and Carolina rigs have all been effective for Branson fishing guides from Baxter to Shell Knob. Above shell knob there have been a few fish being caught on larger Texas rigged worms in brush piles and standing timber. Look for brush in 15' deep or greater to produce most of the fish.

The Corps of Engineers have had constant light generation all week keeping the fish active, plus the Dept. of Conservation has begun stocking for Fourth of July traffic adding a lot of fish to the mix. Here are the top patterns working for Branson fishing guides this past week.
• Live night crawlers on a drift rig cast upstream allowing the current to drift the boat downstream over flats is a dominate pattern
• Zig Jig marabou jigs have been great, sculpin and olive colors around docks and other cover have been effective from Fall Creek to Cooper Creek.
• Micro Marabou jigs have been a top producer below a float. Brown and olive have been the best colors.
• Gulp and Power Bait Eggs cast upstream allowing the current to drift the boat downstream over flats and drop offs with mixed colors of eggs.
• Egg flies and "glo bugs" cast upstream on a drift rig have been working well on a drift rig with a two pound leader.
• Trout magnets continue to produce beneath a float in creek arms from Cooper creek to below the Branson Landing.

The trout fishing on Lake Taneycomo continues to be excellent, ever changing conditions make it more important than ever to have a guide with the right knowledge to put you on the trout. Call Focused Fishing Guide Service at 417-860-4743 today and book your trip of a lifetime.
