Branson: Fishing guides continue to target fish over deep water on the lower end o the lake. Deep trees with drop shot rigged UV finesse worms, Chompers drop shot worms and ROBO worms have all been working well. Early and late there is a good topwater bite, watch for surfacing fish and cast pop –r's, spooks or Sammies as close to the fish as possible. There is a dock bite starting to develop but it is hit and miss at best. .

Kimberling City: The topwater bite has been even better in the Kimberling City area than in Branson. Fishing guides are following schools of spotted bass with the occasional largemouth mixed in on bluff ends and steeper banks. Spooks and Pop- r's have been the best offerings while fish are surfacing. As the day wears on switch to Jewel football jigs on main lake gravel and rock mixed point. Brush and rock piles 20' – 30' deep have been the best locations. The dock bite is a little stronger in the mid lake than in Branson, fishing guides have been using Jewel squirrel heads with finesse worms to target fish 10' – 20' deep.

James River: Big worms in and around brush 10' – 15' deep has ben the best bite up the James. UV or other 10" or larger worms worked from different angles around brush piles will produce some quality fish. There is a solid dock bite developing in the James as well; Jewel spider jigs in Okeechobee blue with a matching Paca chunk will produce on shady areas around shallow docks. Branson fishing guides are also catching a few on Jewel football jigs and Carolina rigged hogs, most of these fish have been coming on gravel roll of points 15' – 25' deep.

White River: Branson fishing guides continue to catch fish from Baxter to above Big M on the White River. In the Baxter area a drop shot rig is king, deep trees 35' – 55' deep over as much as 100' have been producing numbers and quality. In the Campbell point area a topwater early and late is fantastic. From Shell Knob to Big M Jewel football jigs and Carolina rigged hogs or fries have been the most productive baits.

Much like the past three weeks generation has been extremely limited and the bite has been a little tougher. . Here are the top patterns working for Branson fishing guides this past week.

• Gulp and Power Bait Eggs fished from channel banks up to flats have been effective, mix egg colors to draw more strikes
• Live night crawlers on a drift rig cast upstream allowing the current to drift the boat downstream over flats is a dominate pattern
• Egg flies and "glo bugs" cast upstream on a drift rig have been working well on a drift rig with a two pound leader.
• Trout magnets continue to produce beneath a float in creek arms from Fall Creek to below Monkey Island. .
• Micro Marabou jigs have been a top producer below a float. Brown and olive have been the best colors.
• Zig Jig marabou jigs have been great, sculpin and olive colors around docks and other cover from Cooper Creek through Branson.

The trout fishing on Lake Taneycomo continues to be excellent, ever changing conditions make it more important than ever to have a guide with the right knowledge to put you on the trout. Call Focused Fishing Guide Service at 417-860-4743 today and book your trip of a lifetime.
