The Fishing on Table Rock is as good as we've seen it in 10 years. Now is the time to come experience some of the best deep water fishing in the country!

Branson: Fishing guides have seen the deep bite go crazy over the past week. Large schools of fish are feeding on shad in the "gut" of major creek arms throughout the lower end of the lake. Start looking for fish about half way back in the creek and work your way toward the mouth. Most of the fish will be suspended from 35' to 60' deep over the main creek channel or just off to one side or another. Shad may or not be above the fish, on sunny days the shad will be above the fish if it is cloudy look for the shad to be holding below the fish. Target these fish with Rapala Jigging Rap and Jewel Spoons.

Kimberling City: There are a couple of shallow bites in the mid lake in addition to the deep bite like in Branson. Fishing guides have been targeting fish holding less than 15' deep with a one tow punch of crankbaits and stickbaits. Steep ledge rock banks have been the most productive areas; Storm Wiggle Wart crankbaits and Mega Bass Vision 110 or SPRO McStick stickbaits have been the best offerings. Parallel these steep banks with a Storm Wiggle Wart from the bank to around 10' deep, windy days have been best. The stickbait bite has been on the same banks, back off to around 20' deep and cast Mega Bass Vision 110 or SPRO McStick toward the bank, pause either bait around 10 – 15 seconds between twitches to draw strikes.

James River: The crappie bite continues to be fantastic up the James River. Branson fishing guides have been targeting schools of crappie over brush in 25' – 40' deep on steeper banks. Most of the brush piles top out around 15' deep and the crappie tend to be holding close to the top of the brush. Bobby Garland Baby Shad and Bass Pro Shops Tournament Squirts on 1/16 oz. heads have been the best baits. Bass are being caught on SPRO MC Stick and Mega Bass Vision 110 stickbaits and Umbrella rigs. Look for the stick bait fish to be in the same locations as in the mid lake, Umbrella rig fish have been on main lake and secondary points with deep water and trees close by.

White River: Branson fishing guides have been following the same patterns in the White River just like the rest of the lake. The deep bite is strong on Rapala Jigging Rap and Jewel Spoons, look for fish to be in the gut of larger creek arms. The shallow stickbait bite has been strong as well, ledge rock banks 10' -15' deep with SPRO McStick or Mega Bass Vision 110 stickbaits will put quality largemouth in the boat. In addition there have been several fish being caught on Jewel Pro Spider Jigs around larger community boat docks. Look for docks with at least 20 slips and make pitches to the center walkway to get bit.

The Corps of Engineers continued to run water just about everyday this past week with a couple of days with four generators running all day. All of that current has trout moving and feed well. Here is what's been working for Branson fishing guides this past week:

• Gulp and Power Bait Eggs fished from channel banks up to flats have been effective, mix egg colors to draw more strikes
• Zig Jig marabou jigs have been great, sculpin and olive colors around docks and other cover from Cooper Creek through Branson
• Egg flies and "glo bugs" cast upstream on a drift rig have been working well on a drift rig with a two pound leader.
• Trout magnets continue to produce beneath a float in creek arms from Fall Creek to below Monkey Island. .
• Micro Marabou jigs have been a top producer below a float. Brown and olive have been the best colors.
• Live night crawlers on a drift rig cast upstream allowing the current to drift the boat downstream over flats is a dominate pattern

The trout fishing on Lake Taneycomo continues to be excellent, ever changing conditions make it more important than ever to have a guide with the right knowledge to put you on the trout. Call Focused Fishing Guide Service at 417-860-4743 today and book your trip of a lifetime.
