The Fishing on Table Rock is as good as we've seen it in 10 years. Now is the time to come experience some of the best deep water fishing in the country!

Branson: Fishing guides have had limited time on the water this week with the artic front that has hit the area. The Branson area still has a great deep bite; Jewel Scuba Spoons and Rapala Jigging Raps are still the bait of choice for schooling spotted bass in the larger creek arms. Look for shad to be in the main creek channels holding around 40' – 60' over as much as 90' deep. Bass will be suspended around the shad or in tree tops.

Kimberling City: There is a deep bite in Kimberling City is just as strong as it is in Branson. Fishing guides are targeting fish in the creek channels and on long gravel points. Jewel Scuba Spoons and Rapala Jigging raps have been the best offerings. There is also a strong stickbait bite in the mid lake as well. Mega Bass Vision 110 or SPRO McStick baits have been the most productive. Look for ledge rock banks and points to be the best areas, a little wind and isolated cover helps the bite.

James River: The upper end of the James had quite a bit of ice over the past week, while not completely locked in, there was a considerable amount of thin surface ice and floating chunks so take care above Cape Fair. The umbrella rig bite is still producing but the fish have moved a little deeper with the colder water. Look for fish to suspend around 20' deep over the top trees on steeper ledge rock banks and points. Finesse worms on Jewel Squirrel heads and Shakey heads cast to bluff walls have been producing spotted bass, cast the bait to the bluff and work it slowly down to around 40' to get bit.

White River: The White River has been the most productive area of the lake for Branson fishing guides this past week. The deep bite in larger creek arms and long gravel points has been as strong here as anywhere on the lake. Jewel Scuba Spoons in White and Citrus shad and Rapala Jigging Raps in chartreuse have been the baits of choice. Stickbaits have been good as well, not catching numbers but the quality is great, Mega Bass and SPRO have been top producers. Jewel Pro Spider and Magnum Casting jigs have been great around large boat docks when the sun is shining. Fish the jig slow and "dead stick" it under the docks from 15' – 30' deep.

Constant generation over the past week has trout feeling frisky on Taneycomo. On most days you'll have 1 unit running most of the day with a 3 running from 11 am – 2 pm, on other days the increased flow last longer. The bite changes as the water starts and stops flowing. Here is what's been working for Branson fishing guides this past week:

With Current:
• Gulp and Power Bait Eggs fished from channel banks up to flats have been effective, mix egg colors to draw more strikes
• Egg flies and "glo bugs" cast upstream on a drift rig have been working well on a drift rig with a two pound leader.
• Live night crawlers on a drift rig cast upstream allowing the current to drift the boat downstream over flats
• Without Current
• Zig Jig marabou jigs have been great, sculpin and olive colors around docks and other cover
• Trout magnets continue to produce beneath a float. .
• Micro Marabou jigs have been a top producer below a float. Brown and olive have been the best colors.

The trout fishing on Lake Taneycomo continues to be excellent, ever changing conditions make it more important than ever to have a guide with the right knowledge to put you on the trout. Call Focused Fishing Guide Service at 417-860-4743 today and book your trip of a lifetime.
