Branson: Fishing guides are still finding fish deep in the Branson end of the lake. Most of the fish have been coming in the larger creek arms holding fairly tight to trees that line the old creek channel. Look for trees that top out around 40' to be the most productive and drop Jewel Scuba Spoons and Rapala Jigging raps to the tops of trees to draw strikes. A few fish have been scattered on gravel points and flats as well, look for those fish to be tight to the bottom from 40' to 60' deep. Jewel Scuba Spoons and Rapala Jigging raps will work here as well and a few fish have been caught on a dropshot with a Kinami cut tail worm.

Kimberling City: The deep bite is solid in the mid lake just like in Branson, fishing guides are following the same patterns and using the Jewel Scuba Spoon and Rapala Jigging Rap from Rice Camp to Baxter. Look for most of the fish to be holding around trees in the larger creek arms. The stickbait bite is still strong in the mid lake as well; Megabass Vision 110's and SPRO McStick stick baits have been the most productive. Lures with a little bit of purple or blue have been better than straight shad colors. Target fish suspended 10' below the surface on steeper ledge rock banks over as much as 30' of water.

James River: Stickbaits and Umbrella rigs have been the ticket in the James River. Branson fishing guides have been targeting fish on steeper points with a combination of both lures. SPRO McStick and Megabass Vision 110 stickbaits have been working well around visible isolated cover on steeper banks and points, look for fish to be suspended close to the timber over 15' – 25' of water. Umbrella rig fish are a little deeper around tree tops 20' – 30' deep mostly on steep chunk rock points.

White River: The White River continues to produce on a variety of patterns; a fairly shallow jig bite, stickbait bite, crankbait bite and a deep bite similar to around Branson. Fishing guides have been targeting deep fish with Jewel Scuba Spoons and Rapala Jigging Raps in the larger creek arms. Megabass and SPRO stickbaits are working well on ledge rock banks and points, on windy days a Storm Wiggle Wart or Bandit 300 will work on these same ledge rock banks. Community boat docks have been producing with a Jewel Magnum Casting Jig. Focus your efforts from 10' – 25' deep with a 7/16 oz. jig and beaver combo allowing the jig to sit motionless for around 10 seconds once it hits the bottom.

Generation remains limited to mid-morning for a couple of hours each day this past week. The bite is definitely better early but fish are still being caught all day long. The bite changes as the water starts and stops flowing. Here is what's been working for Branson fishing guides this past week:

With Current:
• Gulp and Power Bait Eggs fished from channel banks up to flats have been effective, mix egg colors to draw more strikes
• Egg flies and "glo bugs" cast upstream on a drift rig have been working well on a drift rig with a two pound leader.
• Live night crawlers on a drift rig cast upstream allowing the current to drift the boat downstream over flats
• Without Current
• Zig Jig marabou jigs have been great, sculpin and olive colors around docks and other cover
• Trout magnets continue to produce beneath a float. .
• Micro Marabou jigs have been a top producer below a float. Brown and olive have been the best colors.

The trout fishing on Lake Taneycomo continues to be excellent, ever changing conditions make it more important than ever to have a guide with the right knowledge to put you on the trout. Call Focused Fishing Guide Service at 417-860-4743 today and book your trip of a lifetime.
