Branson: Fishing guides are watching fish move to spawning beds in mass this week. Those that like to sight fish will be in heaven on the lower end of the lake as just about every pocket and cove has fish on beds. Jewel 3/16 oz. squirrel heads with UV Finesse worms or Zoom Speed Craws have been great options for bedding fish. Ned rigged Bass Pro Shops Stick – O's have been the ticket for staging and post spawn fish. Look to gravel points near spawning pockets to be the best locations.

Kimberling City: The Mid Lake spawn is in full swing just like Branson, fishing guides have seen beds in just about every cove and fish are locked on in around 60% - 70% of the beds. With warmer weather predicated this weekend the sight fishing should be lights out. Jewel Squirrel heads are money here as well and craw or a lizard attached will drive the spawners crazy. Pre and post spawn fish are holding close to spawning pockets on points or suspended; Ned rigs, Squirrel heads and Bass Pro Shops Speed Shad swimbaits and all top producers.

James River: The stained water in the James has temperatures higher here than in Kimberling or Branson. Fishing guides have found fish holding close to wood cover in and around spawning pockets from the mouth of the river to above Cape Fair. Anglers wanting to "look at ‘em" should have no problem finding spawning beds with protective fish in the James, every pocket has at least a few beds and some look like a crowded hotel on a holiday weekend. If you're not chasing spawners fish Jewel Pro Spider jigs or Magnum Casting jigs on points close to spawning pockets.

White River: Even though the rest of the lake has turned on the White River still has some of the best fishing on Table Rock. Fishing guides in Branson have found several quality bites in the White River; bedding fish are literally everywhere, just about every pocket is holding quality fish on beds with the majority locked on and aggressively protecting their nests. Post spawn fish are eating Red Fins, Spooks and Sammies early and late on secondary points close to spawning pockets and throughout the day a combination of Ned Rigs, Bass Pro Shops Tender tubes, Jewel Squirrel Heads and Flukes keep the action going all day long.

The Corps has settled into a more normal pattern of generation everyday, with a few hours of light ot moderate current and periods of slack water in between.. Here is what's been working for Branson fishing guides this past week:

• Egg flies and "glo bugs" cast upstream on a drift rig have been working well on a drift rig with a two pound leader.
• Zig Jig marabou jigs have been great, sculpin and olive colors around docks and other cover
• Trout magnets continue to produce beneath a couple of floats 6' – 8' down.
• Micro Marabou jigs have been a top producer below a float. Brown and olive have been the best colors.
• Gulp and Power Bait Eggs fished from channel banks up to flats have been effective, mix egg colors to draw more strikes

The trout fishing on Lake Taneycomo continues to be excellent, ever changing conditions make it more important than ever to have a guide with the right knowledge to put you on the trout. Call Focused Fishing Guide Service at 417-860-4743 today and book your trip of a lifetime.
