Branson: Fishing guides have watched water temperatures rise and fall over the past week; cooler nights and cool rain during the day have lowered temps back into the mid to upper sixties this past week making fish a little harder to pattern. The best bite early continues to be a top water; Spooks, Sammies and Pop-R's are still very effective, watch for schooling fish and cast into the melee. Once the sun comes up a one two punch of Ned Rigs and Bass Pro Shops Tender Tubes worked slowly along the bottom are all that is needed to put fish in the boat.

Kimberling City: The mid lake has been a little more stable than Branson. Fishing guides have been targeting fish on shallow flat points early and late with top water baits and then switching to Bass Pro Shops Tender Tubes and Jewel Squirrel heads with beavers and Bass Pro Shops Sticko's from 10' – 18' deep. Better quality fish have been closer to deep water on these points, if there is a roll off on a point fish from deep water and drag either bait down the drop to draw strikes.

James River: Shallow, shallow, shallow is where you'll find fish on the James. The influx of fresh water flooding shallow wood cover has made fish easier to find than just about anywhere on the lake. Branson fishing guides have been targeting fish with Jewel Magnum Casting Jigs and Texas rigged Bruch Hogs in laydowns and shallow brush from Aunt's Creek to above Bridgeport. Early and late there has also been a great buzz bait and spinnerbait bite around the flooder brush as well. Bass Pro Shops and War Eagle buzz and spinner baits have been the ticket.

White River: The White River continues to be amazing, still the best end of the lake by far for both numbers and quality fish. Early and late the top water bite is nothing short of fantastic, Spooks, Sammies and Red – Fins are bringing numbers and some really nice size fish. Once the sun comes up switch to a white Zoom Super Fluke and work these same areas, the fish will be holding just a few feet below the surface and are hammering a fluke. Once the sun is high in the sky changing up to a Bass Pro Shops Tender Tube in Puke or Green Pumpkin worked slowing along gravel flats and points will produce bite after bite.

More rain means more current generation, the Corps has been running water for what seems like a month straight. The bite is still strong and with The Department of Conservation doing a huge Holiday Stocking there are a ton of fish to be caught. Here is what's been working for Branson fishing guides this past week:

• Zig Jig marabou jigs have been great, sculpin and olive colors around docks and other cover
• Trout magnets continue to produce beneath a couple of floats 6' – 8' down.
• Micro Marabou jigs have been a top producer below a float. Brown and olive have been the best colors.
• Egg flies and "glo bugs" cast upstream on a drift rig have been working well on a drift rig with a two pound leader.
• Gulp and Power Bait Eggs fished from channel banks up to flats have been effective, mix egg colors to draw more strikes

The trout fishing on Lake Taneycomo continues to be excellent, ever changing conditions make it more important than ever to have a guide with the right knowledge to put you on the trout. Call Focused Fishing Guide Service at 417-860-4743 today and book your trip of a lifetime.
