Branson: Fishing guides have noticed a dramatic improvement on the lower end in the past week. Several decent bites have started to take shape and the numbers and size of fish have improved dramatically. The drop shot bite has returned with fish being caught on long gravel points from 18' – 25' deep, Tightlines UV finesse worms and Chompers drop shot worms have been the best offerings. Jewel Pro Spider and Finesse football jigs in green pumpkin candy with a matching green pumpkin J Tail trailer will produce on these same points, look for the fish to be a little shallower from 12' – 20' deep. Early and late in the day fish have been moving shallow on gravel points and flats and will hit wiggle warts and other crankbaits. Look for the fish to be less than 10' deep cruising flat points and banks on the main lake.

Kimberling City: The mid lake has improved as much as the Branson. Fishing guides have been targeting fish on shallow gravel points and flats with a combination of Jewel Pro Spider jigs and Squirrel head jigs. Pro Spider jigs in green pumpkin candy or Okeechobee Blue with a green pumpkin J Tail have been the ticket, most of the fish will be close to the flooded bushes early and move out to around 10' deep as the sun rises. The same locations have been producing with a Squirrel Head jig matched with a UV finesse worm or UV Beaver. UV green with red flake has been the best color.

James River: The James River has been producing both numbers and quality over the past week. Look for fish to be even shallower here than in the mid lake or Branson. Fishing guides have been targeting shallow wood and flooded bushes with Zoom Horny Toads or SPRO Bronze Eye frogs early in the day, shade has been the key to this bite so work shady banks as the sun comes up. Once the sun is high a Jewel Pro Spider jig in Okeechobee blue with a green pumpkin J Tail is all you need to catch fish.

White River: The White River is still more fun than anywhere else on the lake; shallow or deep the bite has been great from the mouth of the James to above Eagle Rock. Branson fishing guides have been catching fish deep on a drop shot or Jewel Scuba spoon on gravel points and around large community docks. Most of the fish are coming from 18' – 25' deep. Jewel Pro Spider Jigs, Finesse football jigs and Squirrel heads are all producing on gravel points from 10' – 18' deep. Buzz baits around flooded grass and laydowns up the Kings is a fun way to start the morning right now.

The Corps of Engineers continues to run a lot of current to meet power demands and bring Table Rock lake levels down to normal summer / Fall pool. Here is what's been working for Branson fishing guides this past week:

• Night Crawlers on a drift rig have been a great option from Fall Creek to Cooper Creek.
• Gulp and Power Bait Eggs fished from channel banks up to flats have been effective, mix egg colors to draw more strikes
• Zig Jig marabou jigs have been great, sculpin and olive colors around docks and other cover
• Trout magnets continue to produce beneath a couple of floats 6' – 8' down.
• Egg and scud fly dropper rigs are working on drift rigs from Short Creek to Monkey Island.
• Micro Marabou jigs have been a top producer below a float. Brown and olive have been the best colors.
• Egg flies and "glo bugs" cast upstream on a drift rig have been working well on a drift rig with a two pound leader.

The trout fishing on Lake Taneycomo continues to be excellent, ever changing conditions make it more important than ever to have a guide with the right knowledge to put you on the trout. Call Focused Fishing Guide Service at 417-860-4743 today and book your trip of a lifetime.
