Baetis, streamers and large montana browns

Brian McGeehan
September 29, 2010
Bozeman - Freshwater Fishing Report

Montana fishing is quickly moving into "fall mode". Browns are really colored up and are becoming very aggressive. Baetis are hatching every day and bringing trout to the surface. Cloudy days have produced lights out dry fly fishing and equally good streamer fishing. There are still some fish eating hoppers but that will end soon.

Target Species:

trout
