Raritan Bay report May 4

Capt. Karl McKenna
May 8, 2014
Raritan Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Roaring west winds against an incoming tide made for a tough day today. The Bass were there but not hitting the clam baits. The only way to catch Stripers were trolling plugs over the many fishing readings on the flats. Bass to 32 inches.

Raritan Bay Fishing Forecast:

Still a lot of bass readings on the electronics. A warm front moving in for Mothers day weekend should help the fishing tremendously. Expecting some outstanding fishing ahead.

Target Species:

Striped Bass

More Fishing Reports:

Light tackle sport fishing for Stripers, Blues, Weakfish and Fluke in the Sandy Hook NJ area.
