San Juan River - Freshwater Fishing Report

Hello everyone,
The water flow was decreased today 09/05 to 453 cfs. The water is clear with some moss. The fishing has been good from the dam to the end of the village public waters.
The upper areas from the no trespass zone to the Texas hole has been fishing good. In the early am small gray bodied, black headed midge pupas #22-26 or #20-22 cream, or red larva's. #22-24 black zebra midges and black/grey scintilla bubbles. When the heads are looking up, try a #22-24 black parachute midge. If gulping or being fussy try a #10-12 Black stimulator.
From the Texas hole down to the upper flats has been good to great. It has been basically red larva of different sizes to a #18-20 big mac, brown, black, or gray/black. #8-10 Olive zonkers in early am have taken some big fish lately.
From Death Row to crusher hole has been good using red larva's to #20-22 beatis emergers. CDC RS2, and foam wings, Johnny flashes and flashback pheasant tails.
