San Juan River - Freshwater Fishing Report
The fishing has been good and the weather great. The river flow is around 470cfs. The water clarity is around 3-4 feet. Still a fair amount of moss in the water. The beatis hatch has been almost to much, millions of naturals to compete with. The upper areas catch and release to the Texas hole has been fishing good. Mainly iron gray or olive crystal flash midge #24,red larva or olive #22. Some dry fly action using midge clustering patterns. Sight fishing using egg patterns.
The T-hole on down to the gravel pit has been fishing hot using beatis patterns, gray wd40' rs2, flash back pheasant tail, fluff beatis #22, and foam mings. Olive dunn crystal flash zebra midge is also working. princess #20. Dry fly action using #24 parachute adams has been good when the conditions are right.
