San Juan River - Freshwater Fishing Report
New Fishing Report
Hello everyone,
Fishing report updated 8/02/ 04
The river flow is around 483 cfs, the river clarity is 4-5 feet. The river is fishing good at this flow. The fish are starting to take hopper’s. I like a #14 Dave’s hopper. Just work the bank’s where you see active fish. Cast in front of the fish and twitch it like a grasshopper that has landed in the water and see what happens. The Nymphing has been good with midges in the am, and a beatis hatch in the afternoon.
Tight Lines,
Mark.

UPPER FLATS TO TEXAS HOLE: Fishing has been good in the braids and the upper flats water. The main channel is still being over fished. The fishing has improved in the main channel. The river flow increase helped this area, and the braid’s.. The bottom line about fishing the main channel is be prepared too share. It is always crowed any more..

TEXAS HOLE to end of the quality waters
This area of the river is fishing good. The fish are starting to move into the fast water, and the overall view of the river, Fishing has improved. Start looking for fish working the bank, and cast a hopper at them.
