San Juan River - Freshwater Fishing Report

Fall is in the air, the cottonwoods are just getting some yellowing in the leaves, and the fishing is good. The river flow is around 650cfs and the clarity is around 4-5ft. The beatis, small blue wing olives are happening in mid afternoon from the Texas hole on down through out the quality waters. In the mornings it is still small midges. Try throwing a size 14 stimulator's at rising large trout along the banks. This will be some of the best fall fly fishing around this year.
