San Juan River Flow increased

San Juan River - Freshwater Fishing Report

The river flow was increased to 925 cfs. The visibility is around 4-5 feet. The upper wading area, catch and release and the cable hole is still fishing best. Small black tricos and gray or black midge patterns in size 24-26. Cream and orange larva have been working also. From the Texas hole to three island run has been fishing ok with the best fishing in the lower flats in the riffles. Beatis bend and the top of death row has been fishing good in the early evening. Death row down to simon point has been good. Small chocolate foam wings #24 and desert storms#24 have been working and a size 24-26 olive midge. Egg patterns are working to. The bait waters were just stocked, Cherise eggs and a #16 bead head pheasant tail have been working also.
