Lake Ontario - Freshwater Fishing Report

Anglers in the Oswego, Mexico and Pulaski area have been catching salmon from 100 ft. of water 600 ft. Just east and west of Oswego the thermocline has been 40 to 60 ft. below the surface and the kings are really scattered.
A variety of bait is working... flies, spoons and E-Chip & Spin Doctor attractors with the Hammer, green glow, sweetpea, Big Fin glow and Mirage are all taking fish. A variety of spoons have also been working well for browns including the old green glow NK mag, the Michigan Stinger Natural Born Killer and the Gator in the magnum and stingray size.
We are not killing the kings everyday but have put together some very respectable catches together and some big beautiful browns are picking up the slack.
