Lake Ontario Oswego / Pulaski

Capt. Troy Creasy

Lake Ontario - Freshwater Fishing Report

It's been awhile since I posted any reports here, but I am slow this week so I am trying to catch up.
One thing that isn't slow is the fishing.

Lake Ontario fishing is sick right now with limit plus catches every time out! Along with big bright kings and some hefty browns, there are plenty of lake trout, Atlantics and steelhead mixed in!
For Kings, my best spoons are Dreamweaver Super Slims in Glow Green, Green Alewife and purple clown. Stingers in the same patterns plus the Dirty White Boy, Gator Glow and Blue Dolphin have been my best.
Look for colored water and warmer temperatures and the fish will be there.
The walleye action on Oneida Lake is up & down right now. Fish are being taken in shallow and deep water. North of Messenger Reef, jigging with sonars and black/purple 1/2 to 5/8 oz. jigs tipped with a crawler is also taking a fair share of fish.
I have openings for charters and now is the time.
This is Captain Troy Creasy, Keep your line wet, and God Bless.
