Lake Ontario - Freshwater Fishing Report

Today is Monday December 26, 2011.
This is a great time of year to come to Orleans County and fish our tributaries with all of those great fishing Christmas presents you received.
The water levels in all of our tributaries are maintaining at moderate to slightly high levels with water clarity allowing for 1 to 2 foot visibility.
The Steelhead/Rainbow trout fishing is being reported as very good to excellent on all sections of our tributaries.
The surprise is that the Brown trout fishery is still going strong at this late date.
On the Oak, good catches of perch are being taken at the Yacht club.
At the bridges there are reports of very good catches of Rock bass and Perch.
We may not have snow but that allows for some great access to all of our tributaries.
With the weather forecast for the near future is cold but clear with possibilities of snow later in the week.
Let's make everyday a great fishing day right here in Orleans County.
