Lake Ontario - Freshwater Fishing Report

Today is Monday February 27, 2012.
Even though most of the tributaries within Orleans County are running high and stained, very good catches are being reported on all of them.
Brown trout and Rainbow/Steelhead trout are still being taken in good numbers on all of our tributaries and some Walleye and Northern pike are being caught on the upper reaches of the Oak.
A wide variety of flies, wax worms and mousses seem to be the favorite baits.
Several small boats have been seen working the area around the mouth of Oak Orchard River catching Brown trout in fairly decent numbers.
The number of Perch being caught at the bridges on the Oak is increasing for those who are willing to put their time in.
Let's make everyday a great fishing day, right here in Orleans County.
