Lake Ontario - Freshwater Fishing Report

Today is Wednesday July 24, 2013.
First for those of you who are not aware, www.attheoak.com has changed to www.attheoak.net.
It still contains the same information, just a new location.
Congratulations to all of the winners of the 2013 Erie Canal Derby.
The complete listing can be found at www.eriecanalderby.com.
Bass, both large and small mouth, seem to be the prevalent fish on the tributaries and small lakes within Orleans County including the Erie Canal.
I don't receive many reports on them but I'm sure that Carp fishing is on the rise on those same waters.
On Lake Alice great Bluegill catches are being reported all around the lake.
On Lake Ontario, Mother Nature and her winds are doing their best to keep things scattered as much as possible.
Even with that, fishing for the cold water species has been good this past week.
Browns on the inside waters with an occasional Chinook, and Steelhead and Chinooks on the outside waters.
Gold spoons with either green or purple patterns seem to be doing well, but other rigs are also taking their fair share of fish.
The weather reports say we should have clear weather through the beginning of next week with winds shifting around to almost every direction over the next few days.
From Point Breeze on Lake Ontario in Orleans County, New York, the 2013 Ultimate Fishing Town USA,
Let's make everyday a great fishing day, right here in Orleans County.
