Lake Ontario - Freshwater Fishing Report

Today is Wednesday, September 25, 2013.
Even with the rain earlier this week, tributary levels are still at a slightly low level.
To this point the main portions of the existing Chinook run has been males scouting out the rivers and streams.
With the shoreline of Lake Ontario still in the mid sixties we need some cooler weather to bring down those temperatures.
That is not to say that some Chinooks are being taken both at the jetties at the Point all the way to the dam on the Oak.
There are still a good number of both Bass and Northern pike being caught on the Oak.
On Lake Alice, catches of both Bluegill and Crappie are on the rise.
Don't forget the St. Mary's Archer's Club catch and release derby running from October 16th to the 18th this year.
From Point Breeze on Lake Ontario, the 2013 World Fishing Network's Ultimate Fishing Town USA and the rest of Orleans County, Let's make everyday a great fishing day right here in Orleans County.
