Lake Ontario - Freshwater Fishing Report

Today is Wednesday November 6, 2013.
The intermittent showers that are predicted thru Sunday should be enough to keep the water levels in the tributaries within Orleans County at a medium to slightly high level with slightly stained visibility.
Temperatures are predicted to be on the cool side with a possibility of the S word in the forecast for mid next week.
The Chinook, Coho, Atlantic salmon runs are starting to wane some but there are still some fresh ones entering the system.
Brown trout are on the increase showing a nice steady build-up with a good number of big Brown's in the mix.
Steelhead/Rainbow trout numbers are also increasing but not as great as the Brown trout increase yet.
The word is that the Erie Canal System will start the de-watering procedures on the 18th of November so just that alone will keep our tributaries at a very good level at least thru the end of this month.
On the lower portion of the Oak, from the Parkway Bridges to the Point, there are some nice catches of Perch being taken for those with the patience to wait them out.
Things seem to be fairly quiet on Lake Alice and could possibly remain so until the solid water fishing season swings into action.
From Point Breeze on Lake Ontario, the 2013 World Fishing Network's Ultimate Fishing Town USA and the rest of Orleans County, Let's make everyday a great fishing day, right here in Orleans County.
