Lake Ontario - Freshwater Fishing Report

Today is Wednesday December 10, 2014.
We have some snow in the forecast for the next few days but by the weekend and into next week the daytime highs will be back in the 40's.
If we get the predicted amounts of snow, the melt should give us some decent runoff for the end of the week and into next week.
The dewatering of the Erie Canal caused an increase in water flow for Sandy Creek for a short time but that is back to low water conditions.
Even with that fishing for Brown trout and Domestic Rainbow trout has been fair to good over the past few days.
Johnson and Marsh Creeks still have a good number of fish in them but again the low water conditions and clear water make it very easy to spook the fish.
On the Oak Brown trout, Steelhead/Rainbow trout and Coho salmon are being taken on the upper reaches, from the dam north to past the Archer's Club.
Closer to the Point catches of good size Perch are being taken and Northern Pike up to 15 pounds are being reported.
On all of the tributaries within Orleans County fishing pressure is on the light side so there's plenty of room to come and enjoy this great time of the year.
From Point Breeze on Lake Ontario the 2013 World Fishing Network's Ultimate Fishing Town USA and the rest of Orleans County, Let's make everyday a great fishing day right here in Orleans County.
