Lake Ontario - Freshwater Fishing Report

Today is Wednesday September 9, 2015.
First congratulations to all of the winners in the2015 Fall LOC Derby.
The East wind last Friday managed to roll the big lake over, bringing cold water to the inside.
It took a day or two but water conditions are back to somewhat normal again.
The hot spell is about to cool down today.
Rain around mid day and then cooler weather this afternoon should bring fish closer to shore and get them at least thinking about their spawning runs.
Mature salmon seem to be very active in the 60 to 80 feet of water range today.
No mention of any particular bait type or pattern being used.
On the inland waters of Orleans County fishing should greatly improve with cooler temperatures in the forecast.
Lake Alice is still producing Bluegill and Crappie around the Waterport Bridge and of course Bass are all over the inland waters.
Just a note that the 3 rod law has been extended for another year so it now has been extended until December 31, 2017.
It‘s that time of year that tributary fishermen have been waiting for during the long hot summer, but it's also the time to make those last checks on equipment and also make those purchases you have been thinking of.
From Point Breeze on Lake Ontario, the World Fishing Network's Ultimate Fishing Town USA and the rest of Orleans County, Let's make everyday a great fishing day right here in Orleans County.
