Oswego - Freshwater Fishing Report
Well we have moved to our last venue of the 2012 season & our first charters have started of great! We had a group from Ct this past week and boated the guys some of thier very first King Salmon! Fish have been a bit scattered in the 120 - 140ft area, flasher/flies taking most fish with a few on spoons mixed in as well. Most kings have been 18 to 25 pounds, with a few Lake Trout & Browns mixed in. Most boats have been heading out to 350 to 500 OW when the winds allow. The bumpier days targeting browns in 40 to 80 ft of water has also been productive!
Oswego Fishing Forecast:
The Kings & Coho's will continue to move in closer to shore as the month progreses. It has been a fantastic summer on Lake Ontario, the Salmon fishing will only get better as we get closer to Sept.!
Target Species:
King & Coho Salmon
