New York Fishing Report for Lake Ontario and Salmon River

Capt. Troy Creasy
July 27, 2005
Salmon River - Freshwater Fishing Report

Ok. I am done with all of the Pro-Am tournaments and Shelley and I just returned from the ICAST Show in Las Vegas. So I am back on the water just about everyday until Christmas now.

I received quite a few e-mails while I was away about the lack of updates on this site. Guy's, I do this as a courtesy. I can't promise anything. Sorry. I will try to update as often as possible. I am also sorry if I don't get everyones picture up. With the great fishing we are having again this year, there are too many to post them all. If I missed you or didn't have my camera that day, just e-mail them to me and I will get them up at that time. Thanks.

Fishing

Got back on the water Sunday and the fish were ready to play. Paul, Erin and Mel were back up from Pa and for about 2 hours we couldn't keep them off. We didn't land as many as we wanted but they sure did bite. My camera was still packed away and Paul's was kind of broke. We didn't get a picture of Paul's 26 pound shark! (New digital for the August trip Paul).

Sunday afternoon tha bite was tough for us, but we still managed to play with a handful of nice chrome kings. Josh caught his first salmon which was also the biggest fish he ever landed. Bob and his son had big fish of the trip and Pedro will have to wait for the next time.

Today was one of those days you dream about. Three doubles and we landed 5 of the six. Many more hookups to go with them. Then the winds came hard and everyone ran away. No fishing this afternoon, so that is why I have a chance to update this page. Where will the temp and fish be tomorrow?? We will have to wait and see.
