Salmon River fishing Report 12/29/06
The water has finally dropped and the man did the people show up today. I saw more rods on the river today than I did in the last week combined. The bite was Ok at best as the fish are still trying to adjust to the new flows, Again.
I didn't get any photos of the first few and then the last 5 beat us severely as my one client just couldn't put them away with his 6 wt fly rod and Hardy Reel. We had four of the five right to the net!!
The fish slammed chartreuse estaz flies and a few small nymphs we were playingg with. I made a few casts with a float and hit one good female on a charteruse bag.
Everyone was complaining it was slow. See what tomorrow brings. Lights out Troy
What a year 2006 has been. Look for more of the same in 2007
