Salmon River Fishing Report 2/ 28/11

Capt. Troy Creasy
February 28, 2011
Salmon River - Freshwater Fishing Report

Heavy rain will raise the level in many of the smaller streams, but do not look for too much on the Salmon River as the snow pack will probably just suck up the moisture.
We will get some run-off but no big thaw this time around as temps are supposed to drop again tonight.
Fished 6 of the last 7 days and it has been up & down. 3 to 5 landed is a good day right now and we were able to do that every day but one.
Some days they just don't bite.
Blue egg sacs and 8mm glow roe beads are taking our fish right now. The pink worm and some small jigs are also working for some.
Look for typical March conditions over the next few weeks and get ready for a great April as we should have good water when the snow does melt!

I still have March 22, 24, 25, 26, 27 open. Call me if you want to lock something in.

Stay safe and please put them back for another day!
Troy
