Salmon River, Oswego River Fishing Report

Capt. Troy Creasy
November 6, 2009
Salmon River - Freshwater Fishing Report

The beat must go on!!
With most guides, myself included and many of our guests fighting the crud /cold /swine flu, it is only the hard run and high jumps of the mighty ironhead that keeps us crawling out of bed every morning.

There are fish scattered top to bottom on the Salmon and Oswego Rivers. Many of the local creeks even with low flows are loaded with dime bright fish.
Pick a spot, pick your favorite bait or fly and just fish.

Weather is perfect fore Fall / Winter steelhead fishing and the fish are still holding in the fast water but each day I m finding more in the holes as well.

What a fishery!! They are here and in spite of the poor economy and press releases stating that fishing effort is declining nationally, there is no site of here on the Lake Ontario or the tributaries.

Metalhead aficionados are lining the banks waiting for the sudden smash or subtle take of a wary trout.

As the late Manny Gordon use to say…… Enjoy- Enjoy!
