Salmon River - Freshwater Fishing Report

I don't have any reports myself as I was supposed to be in Florida for two weeks but we bagged the trip to stay home and work on the next issue and finish some home projects.
I will be out most of this week though so I should have some up to date reports by the weekend.
Ice fisherman now have plenty safe ice to play on.
On Sandy Pond Northern pike are taking large minnows, and walleye and pan fish are taking spikes and jigs with small minnows
Chaumont Bay, Henderson Harbor, Sandy Pond and Black Lake continues to produce good catches of perch.
The water level on the Oswego river is about perfect but ice and slush are still a problem on the colder days.
Steelhead and brown trout are taking beads, worms, minnows, skein, egg sacs and white bucktail jigs.
On the salmon river the flow is a fantastic 750 cfs Fish egg sacs, beads and small flies in blue and white. Fish are scattered from top to bottom with a nice mix of dark and bright fish.
Be sure to log on to our website at www.Lakeontariooutdoors.com, where you can see our live salmon river web cam, view our fishing reports, catch up on local events, book a lake charter or river guide, and find links to great sites and area businesses.
