Salmon River Report

Capt. Troy Creasy
December 29, 2008
Salmon River - Freshwater Fishing Report

I said it before and I will certainly say it again.........High Water Heaven!! Don't be afraid of 2,000 plus cfs.

The bite was on from beginning to end today. Steve and his son Connor were into fish all day long. The landing percentage was not what we wanted but when you have doubles, back to back, first drift, last drift hook-ups, it really doesn't matter.

We fished about 10 spots today and hit fish in 5 of them. Some only one or two but other ones we were way in double figures!

There is lot of sore lipped fish out there today as Connor is the Pa Jr Bass master champ for 2008 and he doesn't waste anytime laying into them!

The boys are with me again tomorrow I will post some photos then. Beads in Glow-Roe and mottled orange 8 and 10 mm and blue egg sacs took all the bites.

If you are off for the Holidays, get your tail up here. But be ready for some salmon season style crowds as Pulaski is immune to the struggling economy. This place is wall to wall fish heads for this time of year.

See you out there. TC
