Cape Fear River - Saltwater Fishing Report

Carolina Beach fishing is in full swing with the arrival of the small menhaden in the Cape Fear river the red drum bite really improved with a number of fish over 27" being caught.Slot size in North Carolina is 18"-27"TL.
Fishing with live menhaden on Carolina rigs has been productive in catching red drum,flounder,and speckle trout this week.

Historically July & August are great months to fish with the Cape Fear Guide for red drum.
