Wrightsville Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

Hi Folks,
It's been another great week of fishing. The New Moon played some tricks with us and the higher tides, but the fish still bit well at the lower tide. Flounder, reds inshore and trout in the river. Wahooooo in the stream. Now here's my report:
Inshore: The reds are biting strong as are the flounder. Several nice catches have been reported in the past 7-10 days. It's getting better day by day. Reds on the falling tide with live or cut bait in the ICW and the inlets. Flounder better on the rising tide in the Cut and the inlets. There's plenty of bait around or try your luck with artificials!
Near Shore: Good catches of big Spanish from 1 to 10 miles out. Some double digit kings are in the same areas.
Offshore: There has been a good king bite at the 23. Lots of nice+ sea bass are being caught bottom fishing, but, of course, you cannot keep them.
Gulfstream: Plenty of wahoo action happening in the stream. Also, try you luck with blackfin tuna and sailfish.
Upcoming: Fall fishing at its best! It IS on!!!
Until Next Time… LET'S GO FISHING!!!
