Wrightsville Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

Hi Folks,
Hermine dumped around 8 inches of water on us but caused little damage. Slowly but surely the fish are getting back together after being scattered about by the storm. Here's my report:
INSHORE: Reds and some flounder are biting in the inlets and waterway.
NEAR SHORE:Blues and spanish are biting one day and not the next...go figure.
OFFSHORE: Kings are scattered a bit but are around. Pick the right spot and you are rewarded; the wrong spot and you are frustrated.
Gulfstream: No Reports
CAPE FEAR RIVER: Catches of trout and reds along with some flounder and black drum are being reported.
UPCOMING: Fall fishing in full bloom SOON!
