The Bite Continues !!

Capt. Bob Baker
February 24, 2012
Boca Chica - Saltwater Fishing Report

Blue and black MARLIN continue their feeding frenzy, with Isla Montuosa and the Hannibal Bank the top producers lately. As long as the huge schools of bonito stay in the area, feeding on squid and sardinas, those billfish, along with the SAILFISH, will be there on the hunt.

YELLOW FIN TUNA are cruising outside Isla Montuosa and some good catches are being had around Isla Ladrones. Surface poppers and butterfly jigs are the weapons of choice

DORADO remain in good numbers, with some hefty bulls being taken.

A surprise showing of high numbers of WAHOO off Punta Burica is keeping the BBQ grills humming. There are a few new places to stay out there now that cater to sport fishermen.

Inshore angling, for all species, from SNAPPER to ROOSTERFISH, is excellent, and will remain so.

Stay in touch, send me your questions, and we'll get you set up .

Meanwhile, Good Fishing!, WHEREVER you are in the world ! Capn' Bob
