Boca Chica - Saltwater Fishing Report

The fantastic offshore bite continues to amaze fishermen in our area. Can it possibly get any better ?
Cool rains have brought record numbers of WAHOO into the Gulf of Chiriqui, and some hefty ones . Trolled plastics, deep-running Temblers and big Rapalas are all scoring great catches. The area from Islas Paridas to Isla Ladrones, and over to Islas Secas are loaded with bait, and the hoo's are hungry.
Around Isla Montuosa, schools of YFT's boil the surface, slashing at bait balls and poppers and butterfly jigs are all working. The Hannibal Bank continues to produce all species, and some huge CUBERA SNAPPER dropped deep with cut or live bait, or a fast- burned jig.
DORADO are biting well. Try in close around Islas Secas, with a Yo-Zuri popper dancing off the rigger.
Black MARLIN are coming up on slow-trolled bonito and small tuna, and can be had in virtually all the above locations.
