Boca Chica - Saltwater Fishing Report

Two anglers took 6 very nice yellowfin tuna , midway between Isla Ladrones and Isla Montuosa.
We threw Yo-Zuri poppers for the first hookup, a double, and then tried butterfly jigs for something bigger.
The first 2 over the side were 40 and 65 lbs.
The next 4, on the jigs, went from 90 to 140.
Then both anglers agreed that was enough. These two men, from Panama City, took home some beautiful tuna steaks and filets.
We dunked a couple of blue runners outside Isla Paridas, hoping for a cubera(snapper) on the way in.
first bait down got cut off behind the head on the drop. For sure, a WAHOO.
Next bait taken by a very big JACK CREVALLE, one of the biggest I´ve seen here, and after releasing the tired animal, both anglers decided to head for a cold beer.
Word from the Costa Rica side, outside Golfito, Playa Zancudo, is that the tuna and mid-size dorado(mahi) are still biting well, with some black marlin being taken around floating logs and other debris.
Weather is seasonal. Sunny days, seas 3-4 ft. with afternoon and evening showers.
Good Fishing, WHEREVER You Are !! Capn Bob
