Boca Chica - Saltwater Fishing Report

We're still enjoying the fantastic YELLOW FIN TUNA bite here, mostly fishing our favorite water, the area around Isla Montuosa.
Surface poppers, the best lately in chartreuse, and butterfly jigs in pink/white or pink/chrome are the tickets to plenty of action on big tunas.
Lots of WAHOO to befound off the north and west sides of ISLAS SECAS. Fast-trolled Marauder-type sub-surface lures , black/red the best followed closely by the blue/white bonito pattern, and hoo's all the way up to the 90-100 lb. class are being taken. Most are in the 25-65 lb. class, which ain't too shabby!
Black marlin around Montuosa. More over on the Hannibal Bank, but I just don't enjoy it there as much as Montuosa, where everybody isn't trying to cut across the same rock.
We had some nice CUBERA SNAPPER fishing out at Isla Ladrones last week, with some very respectable mullet snappers taken on bonito chunks, free-lined in 100 ft. of that beautiful, clear/blue water.
Things are shaping up for another fine summer, starting full bore in January, so when the Christmas holidays are over, plan on being here for your winter fishing trip.
We'll also have boats ready in COSTA RICA for anglers who would like to see some SAILFISH dancing on the end of taut FLY line!!
Make arrangments soonat
