Boca Chica - Saltwater Fishing Report

Panama-Costa Rica Report
TUNA, TUNA , TUNA !!!
We're still covered up in yellowfin of all sizes. from 'footballs' to tankers. both Panama and Costa Rica(Golfito-Southern Zone) are experiencing spotty weather patterns, normal for winter, and some beautiful fishing days.
WAHOO- Panama is hot into the wahoo's at this time, and it will get better in the coming months.
Isla Ladrones, Isla Montuosa, and the Secas group are all great spots to fast troll Yo-Zuri Marauder -type lures and rapalas. Plenty of snapper and roosterfish. They never leave anyway.
Some black marlin on the Hannibel Bank, along with the great tuna bites that happen there. We're casting yo0zuri poppers(surface cruisers -red/white, all purple, pink/wh./purple) into the bonito schools and hooking yellowfin over 100 lbs. on spinning gear.
WILD ! strikes.
We still have some sailfish here in the Golfito area, but it's mainly tuna and some very nice mahi(dorado). Close in too.
Bring a light rainsuit with you and don't worry about the rain. It's 88 degrees !!!!
