Boca Chica - Saltwater Fishing Report

Boca Chica--Isla Ladrones to Isla Montuosa
Fishing actually never gets BAD here. There's always somewhere they are biting.
WAHOO continue to be the big attraction here. Some very nice catches are being recorded. Jet -head lures on the riggers and Yo-Zuri or Braid Marauder -type deep divers are the ticket.
Best thing I like about this type of trolling is you never know what kind of monster you'll get stirred up. Huge CUBERA SNAPPER up to and over 60 lbs. can hit so hard you think you've struck a rock !
After covering all likely spots, and there are more than you can fish in a month, we troll up some live bonitos , bridle them to circle hooks, and send them down for the big snappers and broomtail groupers.
These fish inhale a 6 lb. bonito like a gum drop.
Not too many dorado around right now, but that's due to change soon.
Roosterfish on poppers is a year round thing, and now we've found a NEw "Cruel & Unusual " punishment for our clients.
POPPERS thrown into porpoise schools over giant YELLOWFIN TUNA !! We're taking fish on spinning gear of 100 lbs. and more. Fantastic.
Still MARLIN around, as always. Also 'some' sailfish, but not the main body of fish, for sure.
Get ready for summer, which starts in DECEMBER here, or get down here RIGHT NOW for a mixed bag trip of a lifetime!

GOOD FISHING !!!
