Boca Chica - Saltwater Fishing Report

Panama- Isla Coiba to Punta Burica
Weather has been co-operating for the most part. Low pressure systems seem to be moving through faster, which is a relief, and the intermittant calm, sunny fishing days are very productive.
WAHOO have been the main target for most clients, and we've been trolling Isla Secas and Parida Island reefs and shoals with great success.
We are also having great luck off isla Uva, in the Islas Contreras, chain specifically running circles, fast circles, around Roca Prosper with big rapalas, feathers , jet-headed plastics, and Braid Marauders.
MARLIN are plentiful outside Punta Burica on the drop into the Charco Azul trench. LOTS of bonito and skipjack there. Also just outside Isla Ladrones. Mostly BLACKS, so far. As usual, bridled bonitos in the 6-10 lb. class , idle-trolled, work the best. We've also taken some more very nice CUBERA SNAPPER this way. Sems like we pick one up about every time out, especially over Roca Bandera and Bajo Ocho.
YELLOWFIN TUNA to 200 lbs. are also trolled up in this same area, with many smaller, "footballs" being taken.
DORADO have been running small, but when they are found around floating logs and other offshore debris, there are plenty of them. We even get the fly rods out, and it's a blast.
SAILFISH -A few weeks ago there were NONE, and now they are as "thick as rice". Who knows how long it will last, but there are plenty of them.
Drop me a note @ [email protected] if you want to get in on our discounted packages from now to the end of November.
GOOD FISHING ! WHEREVER YOU ARE.
Capn Bob
