Boca Chica - Saltwater Fishing Report

Panama--Islas Paridas/Ladrones to Punta Burica
When the sun is out the fish are biting!!
Actualy, they bite when it is cloudy and /or raining, but this time of year you have to pick your days.
Passing low pressure systems bringing us a variety of weather.
Yellowfin tuna in the 40-60 lb. class, with some much bigger underneath, can be easily found outside Ladrones, on a straight line with either Punta Burica, or another rumbo directly to Isla Montuosa.
Black marlin are hitting, with multiple sightings, knockdowns, hook-ups every day out, especially around Ladrones.
Inshore, WAHOO are the main deal. Lots of beauties between Parida and Islas Secas, about 1/2 way between the two.
Off Punta Burica, we've been casting to the shoreline with surf rods, and burning surface poppers back to the boat as fast as one can reel. Some nice cubera snapper around those rocks and reefs, along with bluefin trevally , mackeral, and jack crevalle.
Just offshore, on the edge of the shelf, the water is full of bonito and skipjack.
Every trip to this area brings us some nice yellowfin for the grill. Two rapalas on the flatlines, and feathers on the riggers is all that's needed.
Hope you all had a good summer on your home waters.
Plan your winter trip down here early. It's going to be another great season !!
Good Fishing, WHEREVER YOU ARE !!!
